December is usually a holiday month for you and your family. Your car might be used for long-distance trips to vacation destinations.

To minimize any hassle, there are several things that need to be checked. Here are 7 things to check from Forceum:

1. Brakes

Losing your brakes are everyone's worst nightmare. Make sure brake components such as the pad and brake rotors are still thick before the road trip. Also make sure the pedal feels solid and not light which indicates a malfunction. Preferably, take it to a trusted workshop to check and repair it if necessary.

2. Lights

Before the trip, make sure all the car lights are working, all the way to the low beam, fog lights, and brake lights. You can't guess how the weather conditions are on the way so preferably all the lights should be able to work for safety.

3. Oil

Check the oil on the car before the road trip. Check the condition as well as the amount. If it is close to the time of replacement, then replace it first. There is nothing wrong with an oil change ahead of schedule.

4. Water

Check the water or other liquids. Check the condition of the radiator fluid, is it dirty? It may need to be flushed. Then, also check other water such as wiper water so that when the glass is dirty on the way, it can be easily cleaned.

5. Battery

Of course, you don't want the car to not start because the battery runs out. We recommend that you check the voltage from the battery before the trip. Moreover, many workshops provide battery-checking services for free.

6. Tyre/Tyre Pressure

Check the condition of the Forceum tyres you are using. If it is worn out or close to the Tread Wear Indicator (TWI), then replace it with the latest Forceum tyres. For SUVs, you can use the Forceum Penta or the Forceum heptagon H/T. Then, keep the tyre pressure at 32-35 psi or just follow the owner’s manual.

7. Fuel

Always make sure that the amount of fuel in the tank is sufficient. Then, also plan a route to plan for refueling. Forceum recommends refuelling when the fuel level is already at 1/4 of the tank.

1. Rem

Rem blong merupakan mimpi terburuk semua orang. Pastikan komponen rem seperti kampas dan rotor rem masih tebal sebelum jalan. Pastikan juga pedal terasa solid dan tidak ringan yang menandakan malfungsi. Sebaiknya, bawa ke bengkel kepercayaanmu untuk melakukan pengecekan dan perbaikan bila perlu.

2. Lampu

Sebelum bepergian, pastikan seluruh lampu mobil bekerja, sampai ke lampu senja, lampu kabut, dan lampu rem. Kamu tidak bisa menebak bagaimana kondisi cuaca di perjalanan sehingga sebaiknya seluruh lampu harus bisa bekerja untuk keamanan.

3. Oli

Cek lah oli pada mobil sebelum melakukan perjalanan. Cek kondisi serta jumlahnya. Jika sudah dekat dengan waktu penggantian, maka gantilah terlebih dahulu. Tidak ada salahnya melakukan penggantian oli lebih cepat dari jadwal yang ditentukan.

4. Air

Cek air maupun cairan lainnya. Cek kondisi air radiator, apakah kotor? Mungkin saja perlu dikuras. Kemudian, cek juga air lain seperti air wiper agar ketika kaca kotor di perjalanan, dapat dengan mudah dibersihkan.

5. Aki

Tentunya kamu tidak mau mobil tidak bisa menyala karena aki yang habis. Sebaiknya, cek voltase dari aki sebelum melakukan perjalanan. Apalagi, banyak bengkel yang menyediakan jasa pengecekan aki secara gratis.

6. Tekanan Ban/Ban

Ceklah kondisi ban Forceum yang kamu gunakan. Jika sudah tipis atau mendekati Tread Wear Indicator (TWI), maka gantilah dengan ban Forceum terbaru. Untuk SUV, bisa menggunakan ban Forceum Penta maupun Forceum Heptagon H/T. Jaga juga tekanannya di kisaran 32-35 PSI atau menyesuaikan dengan buku panduan kendaraan.

7. Bahan Bakar

Selalu pastikan jumlah bahan bakar di tangki cukup. Lalu, rencanakan juga rute untuk mengetahui posisi SPBU. Forceum merekomendasikan untuk mengisi bahan bakar ketika tingkat bahan bakar sudah berada di ¼ tangki.
