Overheating can occur at any time. The causes can be from minor to major problems. Small problems include a weak cooling fan, a radiator that is too small, or a weak water pump. A big problem can be because there is a big leak in the radiator.

If overheating occurs due to minor problems, then the car can still be used after reaching the right operating temperature. But, how to cool down the car when it overheats? Moreover, sometimes there is no time to let the car cooldown.

There is a simple way, which is to spray the radiator. If the car overheats due to a small problem, then it can be tried by spraying the radiator with water. 

By spraying water to the radiator, the radiator temperature will decrease and will accelerate the decrease in temperature of the radiator fluid. Usually, many use mineral water bottles with pierced caps so that they can spray the front of the radiator.

If the temperature has decreased, drive slowly and make sure the temperature does not overheat anymore. If there is a safe place to stop, wait for the radiator to cool down and try to check the amount of water inside both inside the radiator and the reservoir.

While waiting, you can check other parts of the car, such as the pressure of the Forceum tyres used. If you stop at a gas station, there is usually a free air pump that can be used. Check and add tyre pressure if needed.

Overheat bisa terjadi kapanpun. Penyebabnya bisa dari masalah minor sampai mayor. Masalah kecil misalnya kipas pendingin yang lemah, radiator yang terlalu kecil, atau water pump lemah. Masalah besar bisa karena ada kebocoran besar pada radiator.

Jika overheat terjadi karena masalah kecil, maka mobil masih bisa digunakan setelah mencapai suhu operasional yang pas. Tapi, bagaimana caranya untuk mendinginkan mobil ketika overheat? Apalagi terkadang tidak ada waktu untuk membiarkan mobil cooldown.

Ada sebuah cara sederhana, yaitu dengan menyiram radiator. Jika mobil mengalami overheat karena masalah kecil, maka bisa dicoba dengan menyiram radiator. 

Dengan menyiram air ke radiator, suhu radiator akan menurun dan akan mempercepat penurunan suhu cairan radiator. Biasanya, banyak yang menggunakan botol air mineral dengan tutup yang ditusuk agar bisa menyemprotkan bagian depan radiator.

Jika suhu sudah menurun, mengemudilah dengan perlahan dan pastikan temperatur tidak overheat lagi. Jika ada tempat berhenti dengan aman, tunggu radiator dingin dan coba cek jumlah air di dalam baik di dalam radiator maupun reservoir.

Sembari menunggu, mungkin bisa mengecek bagian lain dari mobil, misalnya tekanan ban Forceum yang digunakan. Jika berhenti pada SPBU, biasanya ada pompa angin gratis yang bisa digunakan. Ceklah dan tambahkan tekanan ban jika diperlukan.
